America’s Mind Map

Every day I’m asking people that I meet for a one word description of what they are feeling about the upcoming election. This is a map of what they are saying (with size reflecting the frequency of the word).

  1. I am nervous when I think about the election. Our country is a wonderful place. I believe in the ‘whole’ country and the diverse people that we are. I think that we need to stick to the basic American values that make us great. Independence – I mean we need to be financially independent from China, we need to financially independent within our states, community’s and families. I think we need to have the right to say and think independently. I think we should be independent and free to earn a living and create enterprise unencumbered by government red tape and the burden to other obligations that I have no control over.

  2. Morning Julie,

I want to add a word. How to I get some air time, and most importantly a picture, on America’s words?

    Much Love,
    B

  3. Hi Julie. Thought I would weigh in to let you know I’m checking your Blog every day. Now you can say you have at least one conservative leaning person as part of your audience. It hasn’t yet altered my outlook, but it is interesting and entertaining none the less. I wish you safe travels.

    • Make that at least 2, Jon. I had the pleasure of spending some quality time with Julie today, October 25th, during her stay in Milwaukee. She attended a Romney/Ryan rally with me that my wife organized and had the opportunity to hear some great leaders, such as our US Senator, Ron Johnson, and Florida’s incredible Marco Rubio. We had a great time together, and Julie, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and spend some time with you. Safe travels!!!

  4. New Idea: On the way home you should go to Boston, see the home of the revolution, and interview Bryan to get some more words for the wall!! Betcha, he’s got a few!

  5. Showed the blog to my classes this week – especially the word wall. They were impressed with the blog and with you, Julie. I am encouraging them to follow you and write if they want. Of course, they wanted to know if they got extra credit!! I love capitalism!! Don’t know if they’ll post, but I would bet you get a few more readers!

    • Yeah, Julie!!! You go girl!!!
One word description of what I am feeling about the upcoming election: Terrific!
I just voted for Roseanne Barr for President.
Finally, a candidate speaking truth to power!
Rosanne says “The Bankers and the Federal Reserve need to be brought down. They have stolen our money, our future and the American Dream and continue to enslave us with a broken monetary system. There is no scarcity; there is manipulation of the resources. We need to end the wars, bring our troops home and our jobs back, create new Green jobs and put people back to work. We need a resource based economy.”
      Hurry home to us Julie!
