Yesterday morning was the physical and chronological half way mark of my trip. \u00a0Now as I head west, it is increasingly challenging to find a pulse. \u00a0Is it the rain? the region? the all night bus ride?<\/p>\n<p>Shayne, Von J, Bobby Barnes&#8230; \u00a0I miss you.<\/p>\n<p>I am reminded of Elie Wiesel&#8217;s famous quote &#8216;The opposite of love is not hate, it&#8217;s indifference.&#8217;. \u00a0But it is the entire quote that truly captures the encompassing nature of apathy. \u00a0The complete quote reads,<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The opposite of love is not hate, it&#8217;s indifference.\u00a0The opposite of art is not ugliness, it&#8217;s indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it&#8217;s indifference.
